Rock and I both got our contacts yesterday. Weird feeling. Monovision....means one is for near and other is for far. Our brains will adjust!! First thing this morning, I ripped one. They are soooo light and hard to see, so I use my glasses now first to get one one my fingertip! As with other things, practice makes perfect. Rock readjusted some tiles in back.....put new sand under them to level them. Putting in last one here. Rock put in a new light in back.....is setting in cement now......tonight, it is VERY bright.....will take pic of top tomorrow. It is thundering, lightening, and hard rain all evening. We need it bad.

We celebrated # 2 son's B Day Sat. This is at a steak restaurant that was absolutely delicious. Wanted out pic taken pretending that we had our contacts in. haha We get them tomorrow. We WILL be able to use them! This is group except for the birthday boy!! and me.

This is my favorite ride at the fair. We did NOT go on any rides though. I think we are beyond that. WILL go at Busch Gardens though! or Disneyworld. Believe it or not, THIS IS A CHICKEN.........
I remember in the 70's when I babysat 21 chickens. Didn't know at the time that roosters crow anytime they want!! I counted 65 times in a row at 3am!! NOT conducive to sleeping, nor to neighbors sleeping. Got rid of him after 2 nights!! The baby chicks were cute. The hens were so interesting. They vied for their "roosts" on the wood dowels every evening. They were so funny! I had lunch every day just to watch the chickens do what they do! Great brown eggs too!

Yesterday was Kelly's B day...(# 2 son). Going to dinner with he and Lisa, Ken/MJ tomorrow night. Had my get together with girls from work yesterday. Celebrated Valentines Day late.
Going to "The Piano Men" tonight at the college. They will play Elton John and Billy Joel music and show what was happening during that period on screen. It should be quite interesting and very entertaining. Will take the camera, just in case I can take pics. It was over 80 degrees today. Garden is doing wonderful!

We go to the fair every few years......just like Disneyworld, or Busch Gardens, or Seaworld. Lots of pics to show.......
A couple of our favorites! The cow barn smells better than any other barn! (farmers at heart!) There were several "fresh" cows (pregnant). It's hard to believe they can stand up. Their milk isn't for human consumption......just for calves!
This is a Lopear rabbit. Several were there.....so cute!

We went to the Florida State Fair today! Was 80 degrees out. Rock in his yellow shirt so I could always find him! Ate one hotdog, one ice cream! The smells were so strong with every kind of food imaginable. Didn't want a belly ache. This is the sheep judging. The judge talked soooo souther and fast you couldn't understand what he was saying! We love to watch the animals.
This just as it shows! They had a place for sheering sheep also.

Our Jannie went home today to Pocatello, ID..........so sad. We wanted her to stay for a L O N G time! This is pic of all of us. Is dark, but camera took by itself! Camera needs lessons!
We were waiting to see if we would be able to take the "cruise" on bay....only took 30......no room for us! (Rock and Jannie)
Rented 2 jet skiis Friday. Was beautiful out. Even went UNDER the Skyway Bridge! Awesome! Looks so different from below looking UP. Makes Rock want to buy another one!

Looks like spring is here!! The azalias are full now. Even the pond sprouted a lily!!
I love my shells......have many of them. So "beachy"......

We went bike riding today.......over to Kelly/Lisa's, down to Julie/Rachel's, and back across the Sunshine Skyway home. @ 165 miles total. Tired tonight. Kelly picked a sack of fresh baby romaine lettuce. YUMMY. We eat tomorrow! Also stopped at the outdoor fruit market. LOVE their mangos, etc. Make lots of juice! Was a beautiful day but cool.

This is what Rock loves to do on a sunny afternoon! Table and chairs are finished.........thanks so much S and J !! We love to eat lunch here and watch the water birds! My next project is painting the "red room" door RED and stenceling some Chinese words on it in black. Projects never end! but that is ok!

Suze,Jannie,Jonathan,Rock and I went to the play, "The Full Monty" Saturday night. Was a dinner/theatre production, very good. It was dress up night for a change! Since it was in Hudson (15 mi. north of us), they drove up early and we all went together. Took some pics first. Jannie is having a great time in FL.

Dining set DONE ! Table is 6 ft. long, doesn't look it here. Can see me standing in mirror taking the pic. Chairs are soooo comfortable. Another shot with my "baby" in the background.
This is the table/chairs we got from Jon/Suze. Rock went through 2 wire brushes and 7 cans of spray paint! The umbrella was on sale at Home Depot 1/2 price! Altogether, it is beautiful! Comfortable! Light weight! We ate lunch outside today for first time. Weather is cooperating this week. Also, went for kayak ride today.

This is the new dining table. Rock stained it ebony, plus a rolling cart. Matches the buffet/hutch. Found 4 beautiful Parson chairs , 4 RED and 2 GRAY. They light up the room, along with the purple couch! Our pappas grass has bloomed forever! Rock wants to cut it back but I won't let him till its done, whenever that is!
