This is an ivy plant that lives under a constant drip! The eavetrough after Rock fixed it 4 times, still yeilds 1 drip at a time all the time! even without rain.......we have a lot of dew in Florida, and fog as we live so near to the Gulf and on the water.
This is "George"......he spends more time chasing his peers than anything. When his feathers are puffy....he is so beautiful. This is macro shot of flatleaf parsley. It is supposed to be more flavorful than curly leaf. I have both....
We went to our neighbors for lunch today. Always a great time with Ester and Bob.

Don't have a picture tonight........but did buy new broccoli plants, 3 kinds of tomatoes, gr. bean , zuchinni seeds. Pulled out all the old stuff after picking some broccoli "pieces" that I pick every other day! Eat them raw with hummus.......my favorite lunch. Now I'll have to wait for a couple of months for new ones. Rock steelwooled the hutch.....will polyurathane tomorrow. Was cool today......40 this a.m,. and 60's in the afternoon. Jannie arrives tomorrow, and so does Gasparilla Day in Tampa! We have never been to one in all the years we have lived in Florida! Not about to start either!

Still refinishing the new hutch! Need to steel wool it, then another coat of polyurathane. Will go on the brick wall. Can't wait to fill it!

Was damp and cool today......misty rain all afternoon. We received 3 inches of rain yesterday, just 35 miles east of us was deluged with 6 inches. A bit of flooding there!

Sunday, Jan. 20 Suze doing the chicken dance! Rock and I went down to Suze and J's today. Brought home an outdoor table/chairs they didn't want. (and a desk chair) It is in the 50's and such wind! Decided to roast a chicken and squash. The squash was sprouting its own seeds inside! Have never seen that before! Have in tomatoes though! Waiting for the chicken to cook!
Have you ever seen such a pale chickie? He's sitting on a can of beer!
All done. He popped his cork! Tasted darn good too!!
Bought tickets to "THE FULL MONTY" being presented in Hudson dinner theatre north of us. It should be great fun.

Rock worked on the wall again......will give last sand and then paint to match rest of kitchen. I need to get started on my new hutch! They make stain/polyurathan blends now so only one coat! I hope it works out! Talked to my cousin in Mendota,IL tonight. It is 6 below zero there.
Went to Kelly/Lisa's this afternoon. Lisa's birthday. Out to a new Chinese restaurant in Plant City. VERY good buffet. Rained so couldn't go to the car show. It is always a big one. Pic of KElly and Lisa at restaurant.

Getting ready to throw net. I just noticed, it really looks like WINTER in this shot!! Pulling up the big ones! Water flows from behind, across the street into "our" waters. Lots of fish hang around the pipe for food!
This is a "macro" shot of a bait fish. Looks big but is only about 1 1/2 inches long.

Ken came over today and installed a new "instant hot water" in the kitchen. Old one leaked! Of course he threw the bait net a few times and put new fishing line on 2 poles. I'm ready to catch the big one now!

I really like using a tall, skinny bobber for bluegills!

Jan 17 Had breakfast (I had my famous hamburger) with the "girls" today from work. It was a good showing. They meet once a month at a restaurant. They will come to my home in Feb. Elizabeth had a Christmas get-together that was very nice. From l to rt.....Aurura,Jane,Harriet,Charlotte, Elizabeth,Diane,Judi

Jan. 15 We have been very busy ! Rock is tearing out a wall between kitchen and dining room area. We purchased a "hutch" that I will stain dark and it will go on the "old brick wall" (that will be changed). Just need to take out the 2X4's ! Will also purchase a solid, long wood table for dining area and finish that dark also. Will seat 8 easily! or more. It is amazing how much bigger the house looks this way! I LOVE "Wood You" store!!!

I think everyone in the C O L D right now can appreciate this pic. It has been beautiful here in Florida except for 2 nights when it froze. The petunias did not freeze....... We are eating lots of tomatoes .....as the vines froze (even covered with blankets). I LOVE Florida!!!

Keith and Rock checking crab traps. BIG BASS live in this corner next to our house just in front of the "pipe". Tried to get a good pic of fireworks, this is a "ground" one.
Keith left a line in water all night, pulled this one in next morning! There are many BIG bass in our waters, and mega mullet!!
Keith went home today. The "freeze" is coming tonight. Everything covered and the heat is on. THEN.......it will warm up again this week. Ahhh, Florida!

A few of the fireworks.........they were awsome! Part of family portrait! Oldest brother, Bruce, is in CA.
the MEN in my life!! I love them dearly!
Rock, Keith, Kelly, Ken
Every year I take a new photo of the three boys! (ah hem, MEN). This is one of the best ones yet.....as Ken has let his hair grow for 3 weeks! He has been shaving it bald and looking like "Howie"......so I call him that. It is really OLD looking. Kelly is in the middle, then Keith. Kathy is not here but she fits between Kelly and Keith.....all of them born within 5 yrs. Rock with a black, metal thingie. We will take it to the cabin in GA and hang it there. It is really pretty.
Keith showing off a blue crab. The weather has been fantastic and warm till this afternoon. Supposed to freeze tonight.....so covered garden/flowers.

Today is the first day of the rest of our lives!! Rock and I both with you all a wonderful and healthly new year.

Our yearly New Years Eve get-together was a hit, once again. No one stayed all night this time. Guess time and traditions move on. (or are we getting older?) My youngest brother, Brian and 2 children, Andrea and Perry, came with my sister, Alice(who lives in Tampa) Brian lives in Texas now. Suze/Jonathon here for 1st time. Ken/MJ, Kelly/Lisa/Paul, beautiful neighbors, Ester/Bob, #3 son, Keith from Pensacold. Was a great day/evening......with lots of good food.,,,GREAT FIREWORKS, and many pictures.
